Victoria Better Brace Herself Because Young & Restless’ Teen Scene May Be About to Explode

It’s been a good 20 years since The Young and the Restless’ Daniel, Lily, Mack and company were living their best young lives, falling in love, lying about their ages and hanging out at the Rec Center. But Genoa City might want to dust it off once again, because we have a sneaking suspicion there’s about to be an influx of teens looking for somewhere to hang out. And the best part? They’re likely folks we already know!

Just yesterday, on the June 12th episode (check out the recap here), Victoria mentioned that her two youngest kids, Johnny and Katie, would be returning home soon, and that they have yet to meet their new big sis, Claire.

That’s not a huge surprise since Claire’s really only been a member of the family for a few months and poor Katie hasn’t been seen since 2021, when she was last played by Sienna Mercuri. And while Johnny was SORASed already a bit in 2022, neither he nor portrayer Paxton Mishkind have been spotted since last spring.

Don’t tell us they renovated the Rec Center for nothing!

For a time, Johnny was growing closer to his bio-mom Chelsea and his newly discovered little brother Connor. But we haven’t seen hide nor hair of him as Adam and Connor have been dealing with Connor’s OCD — which could be a sign that he’s about to be SORASed again!

Summer’s starting, which means soaps tend to beef up their teen scenes, and that’s something we were just lamenting needed to happen on Young & Restless. We already know Faith is coming home, but as of right now, there’s no one else in her age group.

But if Katie and Johnny were to come back, aged up to her, she’ll no longer be alone. And as we got into here, with Moses, Lucy and even Reed still out there, there are plenty more opportunities to beef up the teen and young adult scene even more. So while we get ready to greet Victoria’s kids again, chances are they’ll be looking a whole lot different this time around!
