The Young and the Restless: Eric Braeden Confronts Racist Social Media Trolls

This wasn’t the first time these folks had caused trouble for people from the soap community. A few of them had previously directed hateful comments toward GH’s Tabyana Ali (Trina). Subsequently, the ABC soap took a firm stand against the attacks on Ali earlier this week. They posted a message across all their social media platforms. They wrote, “We do not tolerate hatred or bigotry of any kind. Racism has no place in Port Charles.”

Y&R/ Haters earlier directed hateful comments toward GH’s Tabyana Ali (Trina).

Moreover, They focused on inclusivity, saying, “GH is for everyone.” This public condemnation of racism was a vital move, showing support for their cast. And they made it crystal clear that such behavior wouldn’t be tolerated. But how did Eric Braeden get involved? Yvette Nicole Brown, a former guest star on GH decided to draw his attention to the issue. Furthermore, she tagged the Y&R legend in her post, hoping to get the Y&R community to respond. Why?

It’s probably due to Eric’s reputation for being outspoken and his strong influence. So, a user posted some offensive comments on May 31st. They included a snap of the three Y&R actors and made some hateful, racist rhetoric. When Braeden saw these disgusting remarks, he didn’t hold back. The soap icon fired off a response that quickly made the headlines. He replied, “These three actors are dear colleagues of mine; they have more class than you LOW LIFE can imagine!

Eric added, “We are going to block your racist ass, you got that, bitch??!!” In no time, the phrase “You got that?” clicked deeply with fans of The Young and the Restless. After all, it’s one of Victor Newman’s signature lines. The post went viral and “Victor Newman” started trending on X/Twitter. Consequently, the person behind the racist comments made their account private, limiting who could see their posts.

However, the damage was already done, and Eric’s staunch defense put the perpetrators in their place.
