Evidently, several reports were claiming that TLC is planning to make a spinoff that would exclusively feature Janelle and Christine’s life after their divorce. However, don’t get your hopes high, as the showrunner Chris Poole has made it clear that they aren’t working on a spinoff for now.
In a conversation with Variety, Chris Poole admitted that he would “love” to do a spinoff of the show. He believes that the audience would also be interested in knowing what is happing in the stars’ lives. There is a clear opportunity to create a spinoff as well. But as per Poole, for now, TLC is focusing on Sister Wives, and their main agenda is to capture footage for the original show. Hence, it seems that, for now, the makers have decided to include all the content in Sister Wives. They aren’t segregating it into different shows. Chris further revealed that no one is leaving the reality show, and there is no end in his sight for now!
Sister Wives: Browns Won’t Let Their Family Show Die Ever?
Several Sister Wives fans believed that the show was near its end. But it seems the makers are confident that Browns won’t let the show die. Howard Lee, president of Discovery Networks and TLC, hopes this reality show doesn’t end. Chris further showed his confidence that the Browns always have something going on in their lives. Hence, they will always have something to offer to their audience. He further admitted that the show is still “interesting and dramatic” as even after three wives have left Kody, he is still the father of their shared kids. There have been instances when they still have to interact with each other.
Evidently, over the span of 13 years, Sister Wives has made a special place in its fans’ hearts. As per the reports, Season 1 scored a 1.99 rating. Evidently, women aged between 25-54 were the primary targeted audience. On the other hand, Season 17, which happens to be one of the most controversial seasons till now, scored a 2.12. Hence, it is evident that fans love the reality show and are heavily invested in the lives of the Browns. After Chris and Howard’s claims now, the viewers’ expectations have increased.
