At the warehouse, Jason exchanges gunfire with two hitmen. He takes one out, but the second is able to escape.
As he goes to check the body, Anna arrives with her gun drawn. Anna asks what happened, and Jason says there was a second shooter who got away. Jason wonders how she got here right away. Is she watching the place? She insists she’s not, and she was coming to get more information from him. Sirens are heard approaching.
Anna and Jason arrive at the PCPD, and in the interrogation room, discuss the hit. Anna brings up the fact that Sonny just threatened to kill him at the wedding when Diane enters and demands a word with her client alone. Anna leaves them to check in with forensics.
Diane asks Jason who tried to kill him. He says it was two shooters, that one is dead, and the other got away. He needs her to go to Sonny and warn him that the cops will be coming for him.
At The Metro Court, Carly asks Sonny what he plans on doing to Jason. He says he doesn’t owe her any explanations. She thinks part of him is not done with Jason, and deep down, he knows Jason still has his back. She thinks he’s struggling because he can’t erase Jason from his life and doesn’t want to.
Sonny says he didn’t come here for a reality check, he came to see Blaze. Carly hopes he doesn’t plan on asking Blaze to defend him to Kristina. She tells him that he needs to let Kristina come to him, and if he tries to manipulate Blaze, then Kristina will see that as going behind her back and will make it worse. Sonny says he knows what is best for his daughter and walks off.
Sonny gets a call from Brick and learns about the warehouse shooting. Sonny says he’ll handle it.
In her room, Blaze surprises Kristina with dinner. Kristina wonders what the occasion is. Blaze just wanted to show her she is not alone after what happened at the wedding. Kristina says facing the reality of who her dad is is hard, and talking to Dante helps. She also says being here with Blaze helps, as she feels safe with her. Kristina always thought her Dad was the only person who understood her, but now she has Blaze. Kristina is glad Molly doesn’t know what happened, as she’d be out of control. Blaze admits Molly knows, as she told her.
Kristina becomes upset and asks how this happened. Blaze explains Molly asked her about the wedding and what happened, and she thought she knew, but she was just fishing. Kristina says that’s what she does, she’s a lawyer. Kristina says this is bad, as Molly can prosecute her father without Dex’s help now. Blaze says Molly was headed to her mom’s, so didn’t she say anything? Kristina says she didn’t, which makes this worse. Blaze thinks maybe this means Molly trusts her. Kristina says she doesn’t, and now Molly and TJ will put more restrictions on her. Kristina says she trusted her more than anyone and she has betrayed her. Kristina storms out.
Kristina walks through the lobby, and Carly asks if she’s okay. Kristina says she just has a lot of her mind… baby brain. Carly asks if she’s feeling fine. Kristina says she is okay with the baby, and when she feels it move, she knows it’s safe. Kristina says it’s amazing how much she’s grown to care for this baby that isn’t hers. Carly says what she’s doing is so selfless, and this baby might be her niece or nephew one day, but they’ll always be a part of her. Kristina thanks her for saying that. Carly notes it’s like she’ll always be a part of her father. Kristina assumes Carly knows what happened.
They sit down, and Carly explains Jason told her everything. Kristina feels stupid for arguing with Joss when she was right about her father all along. Carly notes Joss has her own issues with Sonny. Kristina says what she witnessed was so awful, but she guesses this is something all Sonny’s kids have to go through. She feels like an idiot for taking so long to open her eyes. Carly says it’s because she wants to see the best in Sonny, and she loves him. Kristina asks if Carly thinks she ever knew her father. Carly says Sonny had his high moments and his lows, but he was never downright cruel, and he always had a reason for what he did, but he wouldn’t hurt someone if he didn’t have to. Kristina wonders if he’s the same man or if he has changed. Carly doesn’t know, they aren’t close anymore. However, Sonny loves her, and she has to decide how much that matters in light of what she’s learned about him recently. She may have to think about whether she can live her life without her dad.
At Sonny’s place, Ava records a voice message on her phone through the app, introducing the artist she’s bringing to the gallery. She’s interrupted when Natalia stops by. Ava says Sonny isn’t here, but she can come in and wait. Natalia thanks her, and says she brought some scotch for him that he likes as a thank you for taking her to the wedding. Ava says it was a lively affair, so she heard, especially the reception. Ava asks if she enjoyed herself, and Natalia says it was an interesting evening. Ava wonders if she stayed to the end, but Natalia says she got tired and snuck off to bed. Ava says Sonny was probably happy to see Kristina and Blaze so happy, and between them, Kristina has made some bad decisions over the years, but Blaze isn’t one of them. Natalia admits their relationship is a little too unconventional for her liking. Kristina is pregnant with her sister’s baby, and she fears someone taking a photo of her with Blaze, which could derail her career. Ava says she doubts that, as it’s 2024, and Sonny is completely supportive of Kristina, sexual identity included. Natalia can’t say she agrees.
Natalia says gay people, or whatever the alphabet soup calls themselves these days, are flighty and don’t take life seriously. Ava says Kristina may have made poor choices in the past, but she’s got her life together now. Natalia says Kristina and Alison think this baby is a fun thing to have together when they then get to hand it off and don’t have to take care of the baby and do the work. Ava thinks that is an unfortunate way to look at the beautiful thing Kristina is doing for her sister. Natalia says she tries to keep an open mind, but she is an old fashion thinker. Natalia decides to get going and asks Ava to ensure Sonny gets her gift. After she’s gone, Ava gets back to her phone and realizes she accidentally recorded Natalia and her entire conversation. She plays back the remarks Natalia made about gay people.
Back at the station, Diane can’t believe Jason is worried about the man who tried to take him out. Sonny calls and asks Diane to meet him at the coffee warehouse. She says she’s with another client, but Jason tells her to go as he’ll be fine. He says Sonny could incriminate himself if she’s not there to protect him. Diane tells Sonny, over the phone, that she’ll meet him there. Jason thanks Diane. She tells him to think about something, while he’s here worried about Sonny; how does he know Sonny’s not planning another hit on him?
At the warehouse, Diane arrives as Sonny refuses to leave while the cops are investigating. Bennet tells Diane Sonny is a person of interest and will be taken down to the station. Diane uses her work as an attorney to speak with Sonny privately in the office. She asks him to tell her the truth, was he responsible for this? Sonny says he had nothing to do with this, and maybe she should ask Jason what happened. Diane says Jason was here when two gunmen shot at him, and one ended up dead. She says if he wants her to represent him, tell her what he knows. Sonny doesn’t know why those guys struck, they don’t have anything worthwhile here, not even huge amounts of cash. Sonny says whatever they were after, they didn’t get it, and Jason made them pay for breaking in. Sonny asks why this is his problem.
At the hospital, Dione walks Jack around to get him moving and then gets him back to his bed, where he’s handcuffed by an officer. The officer gets a text that there is a disturbance on the first floor, and they need him. Jack jokes to take his time, as he’s not going anywhere. When he’s finally left alone, Jack picks the lock to the cuffs, frees himself, and then finds some scrubs on the shelf.
Brennan sneaks out and heads to the stairs. He is immediately out of breath and in pain. Valentin is waiting for him, and Jack says it took him long enough to make this happen. Valentin reminds him they agreed not to see one another face to face again, so this better be important. Brennan says he has information that can’t wait, and it came from Carly Spencer. He reveals Carly visited him in Pentonville, looking for information, but let information slip. He says the FBI is investigating Pikeman, and the agent in charge is John Cates. He believes the FBI had Jason infiltrate Pikeman.
Jack notes Valentin doesn’t seem surprised by this, and tells him not to draw attention to himself and leave Jason alone. Valentin tells Jack he needs to relax, learn to delegate, and trust others. Jack says it took Valentin a long time to get to the top, looks at the steps, and says it will only take him a minute to fall back down. Jack again reminds Valentin that Jason Morgan could figure out everything about Pikeman, including who is running it. Valentin says by the time he does, Sonny will have taken him off the chessboard and saved them all the trouble. Jack needs to get back to his room before the guard returns. Valentin says when Sonny takes out Jason, he’ll get word to him, but until then, they can’t meet again. Jack says he’s been stalling for months, and when will he get the charges against him dropped so he can get out of Pentonville? Valentin says he’s working on it, and it will take time, so be patient.
The guard returns to Jack’s room and sees the door ajar, but Jack is back in bed. He waves to the guard.
Anna returns to the interrogation room at the PCPD, and they’ve ID’d one of the men. She shows Jason the photo, and Anna can see he knows this person, maybe even once worked with him. She asks him to admit Sonny put the hit out on him. Jason says he’s told her all he knows. Anna says he was just almost killed, and he’s still protecting Sonny. She asks how many bullets he’ll take for Sonny? How much blood will be shed before this ends? She says she used to look at Sonny through rose-colored glasses too, but perhaps he never really knew Sonny, or he’s not the man he thought he was.
They are interrupted when an officer brings Anna some evidence. It’s the gunman’s phone, and she thinks it will help them find the person who ordered the hit. She calls the only number in the phone…
Back at the hospital, Valentin answers his phone. Valentin asks, “Has it been done?” He’s met with only silence.
At the PCPD, Anna has a look of horror on her face.
Back at the hospital, Valentin is clearly worried.
On the next General Hospital: Chase tells Brook Lynn about paying tribute to his dad. Liz asks Finn, “You still didn’t drink again, right?” Cates says, “I’m going to love seeing you behind bars once and for all.” Drew asks Carly, “How do you feel about the possibility of that?” Jason tells Anna, “Thank you, that’s what I needed.” At the warehouse, Sonny says, “I have to confess something!”
