General Hospital Friday, June 7 Recap: Jake Blabs Finn’s Bar Visit – Liz Finds Barb in Boyfriend’s Lap
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, June 7, reveals that Jake Webber (Hudson West) was at the dive bar with his friends when he spotted Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) drinking and letting Barb (Devon Ogden) cozy up to him.
Although Jake started to confront Finn, his buddies helped him see that he couldn’t since they’d get busted for scoring beer.
Instead, Jake watched Finn leave with Barb before finding his mom at GH, where told a slightly altered story and claimed he spotted drunk Finn coming out of the bar with another woman.
Elizabeth thanked Jake for telling her and assured him that she could handle this, but Jake called for backup once he was alone.
At Finn’s place, Barb hinted about making him feel better and began kissing him. When Liz arrived, she opted to use her key instead of knocking.
Once Liz opened the door, she caught Barb making out with Finn in his lap and glared at the tequila on the table.
Finn seemed to be in a drunken daze as he looked up at Elizabeth following her arrival.
At their apartment, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) decided they’d make the Quartermaine mansion too appealing for Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) to pass up by basically making it like a summer camp with the other kids in the family.
That way, Brook Lynn and Chase could keep Violet safe while they staged an intervention for Finn and hopefully got him in rehab.
Once Brook Lynn pointed out that Finn was a well-known doctor in Port Charles, she expressed concern about people noticing his behavior and spreading the news around.
If Finn did something he couldn’t take back, Chase worried Finn would never recover and there’d be nothing left of the brother he knew.
At the Metro Court pool, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) arrived to find Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) ditching his shirt to join Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Wiley Quartermaine (Viron Weaver) in the water.
Nina bumped into Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and caused a towel spill, so that made a commotion that got Wiley’s attention.
Wiley jumped out of the pool to greet Grandma Nina, so Drew mentioned some cream to stop the smell of chlorine that he read about in Crimson.
That gave Nina a topic to talk to Willow about, so they had a chat as Nina offered some of the product she still had on hand.
Although Nina worried about coming on too strong, Willow didn’t mind and let her know their encounter was nice before she left with Wiley.
Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) talked to Gio about Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) “awful” former stepfather being the reason Joss and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) weren’t together – though she was hoping they could find their way back.
Gio got a bit uncomfortable since “Uncle Sonny” was his benefactor and had been good to him, so Trina acknowledged that there were a lot of different strong opinions about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
After Gio mentioned Trina’s strange reaction when they first met, he wondered if they’d met before.
Trina explained that if she squinted and looked at Gio just right, he reminded her of someone she used to be close to.
Gio fished for updates on why Trina wasn’t close to that someone anymore, so she admitted he died and rushed off looking emotional.
Josslyn noticed and worried Gio had done something wrong, but Trina downplayed it and acted like sometimes her grief over losing Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) just got triggered.
As for Dex, he had a flirty conversation with Josslyn and ultimately asked her out to dinner, so she looked surprised over the invitation.
General Hospital spoilers say Dex will hope for a romantic reunion soon, but our predictions hint that there could be more bumps in the road!
