It’s a happy day for General Hospital’s Brooklynn Rae Silzer! The young actress who still plays Emma from time to time whenever she’s visiting Port Charles is now officially a high school graduate! Could that be good news for folks who have been dying to have Anna and Robert’s granddaughter back in town on a more permanent basis?
Silzer shared the news over on Instagram writing, under some gorgeously shot graduation photos, simply, “That’s a wrap.” You can check out the post here, and see a pic she snapped from graduation down below! Of course, while folks were happily congratulating her for the accomplishment, there were also quite a few folks in the comments who let her know they still miss her on General Hospital and who wondered if she’d be back.
The sky’s the limit for the young actress now that she’s made it through high school, but if she did want to go back to the show, we would definitely cheer on that choice. Silzer just turned 18 back in April and if Emma is the same age and also just graduated from high school, there’s no reason why she couldn’t come back to Port Charles!
While Emma had to move to California with her parents when Patrick and Robin reunited and moved away, she clearly still has a fondness for Port Charles. She’s been back to visit her grandparents a number of times, including just last Thanksgiving.
But if Emma’s also a graduate of high school and a legal adult, those visits could become permanent. There’s no reason anymore why she’d have to stay out in California living with her parents. She could choose to move back to Port Charles to be with grandma Anna or go to college back home.
And with Brook Lynn’s cousin Gio staying at the Quartermaine mansion, we could see some definite sparks flying between the two teenagers as they meet over the summer and fall in love. Heck, they could be the next Patrick and Robin. With a bit of Ned and Lois thrown in for some flair.
Or maybe Cameron could come home and have a run-in with Emma and be absolutely smitten with this new young woman in town, only to realize it’s little Emma, who’d always seemed like such a kid to him, but who he now realizes is all grown up. (OK, we don’t know that they ever really interacted, but Liz and Robin did know each other, so surely their kids know of each other!)
No matter what the future holds for Silzer, though, we’re sure she’s going to go on to incredible things! Congratulations!
