General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Kisses Jason! Gratitude Or A SIgn Of Future Romance?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) heart is all over the place now that she knows that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) sacrificed over two years of his life for her.
As viewers know, Jason was caught in an explosion on Cassadine Island. He found a way out after a cave-in but was accosted by Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) of the FBI.
Cates forced Jason to work undercover or else he would use a recording in the FBI’s possession where Carly admitted she was running Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard) organization.
General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Spencer could have gone to prison
The charge for racketeering is 20 years in prison. Rather than let that happen, Jason agreed to work undercover and infiltrate the Pikeman Group.
Meanwhile, Jason’s family and friends believed him dead the whole time. Once she discovered the truth, Carly’s first impulse was to turn herself in so Jason would be free.
But Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) convinced Carly that she would be Jason’s sacrifice be for nothing. Spinelli admitted he would do the same for Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) because he loves her like Jason loves Carly.

The way Spinelli worded it, it sounded like he believed that Jason and Carly were romantic interests the way he is with Maxie. But both Jason and Carly have insisted that their relationship works better without being romantic. They have tried in the past but the timing never seemed right.
There’s no doubt of the love Carly and Jason share, so it’s always possible they could explore a romance again. No matter what, they will always be soulmates.

Although part of Carly is angry that Jason made the choice he did without telling her or getting her consent, a bigger part of her is grateful that he loved her enough to give up two years of his life.
It’s easy to imagine her giving Jason a romantic kiss in gratitude. Jason might even begin to respond but it seems more likely that they would stop themselves from crossing that line once again. But you never know, Jason and Carly could decide to give romance and chance anytime.
