General Hospital Summer Sweeps Preview: Carly’s Revenge, Sonny’s Downward Spiral, Baby Drama and More
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that July is just around the corner, so it’s time to make some predictions and talk about our summer sweeps preview. The show has some good stuff coming up, so here’s what GH fans can look forward to.
For starters, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is gearing up for a risky plan to eliminate the FBI’s leverage and get revenge on John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) won’t be pleased by the gambles Carly’s taking, especially considering everything he’s put on the line to help her keep her freedom.
One wrong move could put Carly behind bars, so it’ll be interesting to see if she eventually regrets seeking Jack Brennan’s (Charles Mesure) guidance and plotting against John.
Over with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), he’ll continue getting to know Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
Trina is clearly drawn to Gio as a fellow artistic type, but is her Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) grief too fresh to let herself fall for him?
Gio will keep spending time with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) as well, so it’s also possible sparks will fly between them despite her attempt to get things back on track with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Other GH spoilers say Jason will enjoy some bonding time with Jake Webber (Hudson West) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).
Although Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will welcome Jason’s reconnection with Jake, it’ll be much harder to sell Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) on the idea of Jason having a real place in Danny’s life.
Nevertheless, this is obviously something Danny wants, so Sam may be forced to relent since he’s going to sneak and make it happen anyway!
Perez Hilton will be making an appearance in the coming weeks, so it looks like that’ll involve a gossipy revelation that’ll shake things up.
Will Blaze aka Allison “Allie” Rogers (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) get outed publicly and have her relationship with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) put under the microscope?
Although Kristina’s due date is in August, the baby could easily arrive sooner than expected as most soap babies tend to do.
That could bring some scary moments for both Kristina and the unborn child she’s set to bring into the world.
Whatever the case, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will still have reasons to be nervous about whether Kristina will hand over the baby when the time comes.
As for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), his altered medication dosage could take a bigger toll on him in the coming weeks as we build to Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) one-episode appearance this August – which will likely involve a dream or vision once Sonny’s at his lowest point.
In the meantime, Ava Jerome (Maura West) may spin out in some surprising ways of her own once Sonny kicks her to the curb and perhaps brings out her vengeful streak!
Finally, we have to talk about Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) since it looks like his exit is on the horizon. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has been trying to get Finn into rehab, but could he end up facing a grim fate instead?
Regardless, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will do everything they can to put Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) first.
