A soap character without a love story is a lot like a canoe without a paddle: It ain’t going nowhere. So while there may be a portion of the General Hospital audience that is perched on the edge of its seat dying, positively dying to see what will happen next as career criminal Jason is forced to work for the feds, more of us are probably like, “Yeah, yeah, but where’s the romance?”
Better late than never, it seems like we will finally get our answer — and at least one segment of the fandom is gonna love it.
Thus far, the show has friend-zoned Jason and Carly. It’s made it clear that Sam’s heart no longer skips a beat for her ex. And it’s had Liz stuck in a relationship with Finn. But with the doc’s drinking having prompted his significant other to stick a scalpel in their future, she’s now free to explore the feelings for Jason that didn’t die no matter how many times he did.
In the Tuesday, June 25, episode, in fact, “Liason” put their heads together regarding son Jake. Later in the week, the fact that he spends time with Danny is sure to make Sam see red. Who better for him to confide in and lean on than Liz, right? She has, after all, been a lot more sympathetic to his plight than his other old flame.
