Sloan No More? Days of Our Lives Seems to Have Given the Baby Snatcher the Boot

It looks like we may have finally reached the end of the road for Days of Our Lives‘ Sloan — though it’s not the end we’d guess most fans may have wanted!

We thought for sure Sloan would face the music after she showed up on Nicole’s doorstep, only to be caught between Jude’s real mom and dad once Eric burst in. To her credit, she seemed pretty darned determined to do right and tell them the truth about Jude’s paternity, hoping to earn some brownie points before being tossed into jail. But then EJ showed up, ushered her out and gave her strict instructions never to darken his door — or even Salem — again or she would be very sorry.

And now she’s gone to the point that she doesn’t even make an appearance in spoilers anymore. So is this really it for her? It certainly seems like it — for the time at least. When Carlivati spoke with TVInsider about what to expect when his writing team took the reigns back on Friday, he noted that unfortunately, the baby reveal had already begun to come out before they got back.

“I didn’t get to play all of it, but the part with Eric finding out he’s the dad, at least I got to do,” he revealed. And what’s more, he penned the big moment folks have been waiting for since Sloan swiped Eric and Nicole’s kid. “I got to play a Sloan/Nicole confrontation, which for some reason they had Sloan exit the canvas without ever having a confrontation with Nicole, which I thought was nuts.”

That certainly seems like Sloan and portrayer Jessica Serfaty were already done, but Carlivati and team came back just in time to bring Sloan back for some final confrontations. But now she’s run off with EJ’s money and this time, it seems for good. That’s not to say we’ll never see her again — the truth is still out there about Eric being Jude’s true father — but enough other people know that truth that Sloan isn’t really needed.

So for now, we guess we’ll say goodbye to Eric’s baby-snatching wife. Maybe someday she’ll go to prison for what she’s done, but it seems for now, she’s getting a free pass! Well, that and a lifetime of fear and paranoia. But hey, you take what you can get.
