Lucas Horton recently scored a release from Statesville, but just ended up getting stashed at the monastery. However, Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings now reveal that Lucas is about to make yet another move. But this time it’s going to be a big one that takes him well across the ocean.

Days updates reveal that actor Bryan Dattilo is all set to exit the Peacock soap by the end of June 2024. When Harris Michaels lived up to his promise and secured an early release for Lucas, Kate was ecstatic. She was looking forward to spending some quality mother-son time with him. Unfortunately, that is not going to happen.

Without his kids in Salem, and the lack of any other prospective storyline, Lucas really has no reason to remain in town. Thus, writing the character off at this point makes total sense. As part of his exit arc, he will open up to his mother in the upcoming episodes about wanting to reunite with his children.

Despite her wishes to spend time with him, Kate will be understanding of his emotions and support his decision to move to New Zealand to live with Will and Allie Horton. Moreover, Arianna, Henry, and Nash are also in NZ, so it makes sense that he would want to be around his children and grandchildren after spending such a long time in prison.
