Bold & Beautiful Paternity Shocker: Cruel Twist for Bill and Luna Dead Ahead — and It’s *Not* What You Think

No paternity test on Bold & Beautiful can ever be trusted, but in the case of Bill and Luna’s it’s practically a given that there will be a twist. But thanks to Li’s involvement it just got a whole lot more complicated — here’s why.

This tale has been twisted from the start. We knew from the moment Poppy and Bill locked eyes at Il Giardino that something was up, and it took mere minutes for folks to begin speculating that Luna might end up being yet another child from the past that Spencer never knew he had.

However, once Bill and Poppy’s past connection was established and the mogul asked her straight out if there was a possibility he could have fathered her daughter, her answer left no room for doubt: “No, Dollar Bill, you are not the father.” Not in those exact words, but that was the gist of it.

Now that Poppy’s done a sudden turnaround and told both Bill and Luna that he could be her biological dad, let’s just say her reason for lying initially is… flimsy. She claims she was scared to admit it because it had always been just her and Luna, but how could the audience not feel like something was off?!

Things get a whole lot more confusing when you factor in Li’s accusations about Poppy being a golddigger. If she’s always dated wealthy men for their money, why is Luna always saying they “didn’t have a lot” while she was growing up. Also, if Poppy was out to land a rich man, why wouldn’t she have jumped on a golden opportunity and have told Dollar Bill he was Luna’s father right from the get-go? It doesn’t make a lot of sense, does it?

Of course, Poppy may have needed time to formulate a plan to fix the paternity test before rolling that particular set of dice, and if that’s the case, it’s no wonder she exploded at Li, as her hot-headed older sister will have foiled her scheme by waltzing in with her own paternity test.

Bill loves Poppy, but how do you disregard someone you respect warning you that you’re being taken advantage of? It’s not like Li walked in there and said she doubts Bill is the father, she basically said she knows he’s not Luna’s father. It’s not surprising he decided to let her stay and run the test. She’s a friend and a doctor to boot.

What Li may or may not know could become a huge element of the twist we fear is ahead.

While many Bold & Beautiful fans are worried that Bill is the father and that Li will fix the paternity test to show that he’s not, denying them a beautiful relationship out of spite, we’re concerned about something else entirely.

What if Li knows or suspects something we don’t? She almost has to in order to make any sense of the things she’s saying about Penelope. It would have to be hella upsetting to warrant the attitude she gives her sister… something like Poppy having an affair with Li’s husband Jack.

How much would it pinch, suspecting that Luna is Jack’s when Li was unable to give him a child herself?

If Li thinks Poppy had an affair with her ex-husband Jack when she was living with them, and suspects he could be Luna’s father, not only would that explain her treatment of her sister, it would mean that the last thing she should be in charge of is the paternity test. Why? She may monkey around with the test results, just not in the way everyone’s been concerned about.

What if Li were to tell Bill and Luna that the test was positive and that he is her father to cover up the humiliating fact that her husband is Luna’s actual bio-dad? This is not something Li would ever want to come out.

This means Bill and Luna are set to be the victims of a cruel twist. They’ll believe the test was positive and that they are father and daughter, only to find out down the road when the truth comes out (and you know darn well that it will!) that it was all a lie!
