Viewers were surprised to learn that the Happily Ever After? season 7 Tell All would be four parts, so fans barely got a taste with part one. Relatively little time was spent on the Tell All stage, but Shaun seemed to have a hard time keeping the cast in check—particularly Angela. Controversial franchise star Angela got into fights with multiple cast members and abruptly stormed off set, leaving a bewildered Shaun behind.

But not all 90 Day Fiancé fans agreed that Shaun was to blame for letting Angela run amok. “What’s Shaun supposed to do? Get up and fight her?” one commenter questioned, which several others agreed with. It’s true that if Angela really wanted to start drama, Shaun protesting would probably do little to stop her. Some fans called for TLC to increase security at the Tell Alls. “The show needs an enforcer to remove Angela,” a commenter said, adding, “Shaun’s dress is too pretty for her to have to do it.” A few even felt it was time to bring in “the big guns” and tap legendary talk show host Jerry Springer to host the increasingly tumultuous 90 Day Fiancé Tell Alls.
Though it’s easy to call out Shaun for losing control of the Tell All, the drama that erupted may be exactly what producers, and Shaun, wanted. Most fans would agree that the franchise is getting more and more scripted, and Angela is notorious for playing ball with producers and exaggerating her behavior for ratings. Unlike most Tell Alls, where the entire cast is seated on stage by the time Shaun makes her entrance, on the Happily Ever After? season 7 Tell All, Angela didn’t emerge until Shaun was already on stage. Angela came in guns blazing from the moment she stepped on set, and Shaun’s “shock” at Angela’s behavior may have been just for show. Producers dream of this kind of explosive content, and they were counting on Angela to deliver.
For many 90 Day Fiancé viewers, Angela storming into the Tell All like a WWE fighter was a jaw-dropping moment, and they couldn’t believe that nobody intervened. However, there are several reasons why Shaun did nothing to stop Angela’s fury. Though she’s bound to get criticism, Shaun’s actions (or lack thereof) could be entirely intentional, and fans can expect to see more moments like Angela’s blowup on Tell Alls in the future.
